Elementry School Love

Taking a moment to get my courage up
for i fear disappointment way to much
so i ask a friend what to do
for i have never felt
the way i feel about u

He tells me a note 
is what i need 
but i chicken out
because it is a first for me
But the what ifs
wont let me be
So i put to paper
what i want u to read

I like u
do u like me to
say yes
so u can be my boo
We can eat lunch
and even hold hands together too
please dont say no
for then there will be no me and u

I pass the note
the way elementry kids do
anxious for u to see the note
and see what u do
But sadly it was not ment to be
for the teacher took the note
and i thought it was the end for me

She read the things i wrote
which were ment for u
the whole class started to laugh
i didnt know what to do
and at that moment
i looked at u

U smiled at me
with ur smile that was missing a tooth
and i knew that it wasnt me just liking u
because that smile said u felt the same too
