Days of Ignorance

Pain is a symptom of some physical hurt or disorder

I had always known the definition
but never did i understand the meaning.

Well at least not till recently.

Not till i was looking at the blood and shards of glass on the ground

But its not the fact that i hit the mirror that brought me pain

I mean yes that hurt but it wasnt pain.

It wasnt me wishing u was here but knowing ud never be back

It wasnt me looking at old pics of us and wondering if id ever smile like that.

Those things are pain

But i guess pain can bring hurt

For i punched the mirror in pain

I mean i look in the mirror and what do i see?

I see me.

the same me i always see. 


But that wasnt me
For my heart is broken.

well since the mirror wasnt doing its job.

I broke it

and what do u know 

Only then did it look right

Funny right?

I mean its funny how ur heart which u never see brings u so much pain.

How when it's in pain, bodily hurts dont mean a thing.


I guess now I can say i know the meaning of pain
Good for me right?
I am no longer one of the ignorant masses

But still the days of ignorance are all i long for.
